WINGFOIL EQUIPMENT ION CLUB SAFAGA
Duotone Unit or Echo will give you wings! You will fly with those easy to use but yet offering great performance wings. Duotone boards are already all a reference when it comes to Wing foil.
SAFETY
Ensuring your safety during each of your Wingsurfing session at the ION CLUB Safaga is a top priority !
All our Wingsurfing rental guest will be under the supervision of our safety team. The watchout station at the center is always occupied by a lifeguard looking over the Wingsurfers during daytime, and able to act immediately in case of any emergency. The safety team is ready at all times to attend rescues with the zodiac.
FLEXBILITY
Since wingofiling is a wind driven sport and weather conditions might change, we understand that flexibility is key when it comes to equipment choice. Therefore no matter which rental option you choose, you will always have the choice of several different boards to use here in Safaga.
In addition to the choice of your board category, you will also have the possibility of actually choosing one specific board during your stay with us. Your fix board, will be there for you at all times, while you still have the chance of using another board if the wind conditions are changing.
COVER PLUS
As a rental guest, you´re generally responsible for the gear you rent from us. However, with our COVER PLUS package you don´t need to worry about any damages occuring to the equipment you rented.
Everything will be covered !
Just let us know what needs to be repaired and take another set of gear and go to the water again 🙂
However COVER PLUS does not cover negligence, theft, loss or intentional damage to equipment or damage due to navigation outside the ION CLUB spot.

A word about
ION CLUB SAFAGA
Located about 50 kilometers south of Hurghada, the Egyptian destination of Safaga is home to many scuba diving clubs, and is also one of the best wingsurfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing spots in Egypt. The contrast between the deep blue and turquoise colours of the Red Sea, and the arid mountains of the hinterland makes Safaga a fantastic setting for your kitesurfing or wingfoiling trip in this particularly windy desert. Since 1991, the ION CLUB Safaga center, close to the Shams hotels, has been one of the best addresses among the kitesurfing centers in Egypt. ION CLUB Safaga has offered kitesurfing since 2003, with courses and rentals on offer. Recently we offer wingfoiling courses and rental. One of the highlights of the spot for all kitesurfers, wingfoilers and windsurfers are the organized trips to the paradise island of Tobia, a small sandy island located close by.

WIND
In the morning, the wind blows side-offshore, coming from the left when looking at the sea, turning side-shore around noon. The wind conditions in the morning favour kitesurfing and windsurfing beginners. It is also a perfect opportunity for independent kiters to take advantage of an excursion to Tobia Island, a sandy island surrounded by turquoise water less than 4 kilometers from the ION CLUB center ... not to be missed! In the afternoon, the wind turns to side-shore and often becomes stronger, around 20-25 knots, sometimes a little more until the end of the day. In order to limit incidents between kitesurfers and windsurfers, two separate areas are set up, and the few coral areas are clearly marked. You can relax and sail without risk … the Safaga kitesurfing and windsurfing center has thought of everything!

HOW TO GET THERE ?
From Hurghada Airport
After leaving Hurghada airport, take the new highway south to Safaga. Follow the highway for about 45 minutes (60 km), then take the first exit before Safaga. After about 200 meters, turn left in front of the Amarina Hotel and drive to the end of the road, where you will find the Shams Hotels and the ION CLUB center.
